About Ariel
Film Location Properties.com was founded by Ariel Penn who has 25 years experience as the film liaison for both Pasadena (23 years) and West Hollywood (2 years). Ariel promoted thousands of properties in both cities as potential film locations as part of her marketing responsibilities. She served as a liaison to the industry, the City and property owners for over 10,000 productions during her film liaison career.
With additional skills in production, Ariel is a 2x L.A. Area Emmy nominee (1993 and 2014) for producing in the Public, Municipal and Operator Produced Cable category. The 2014 film, “Pasadena: Crown City,” showcased Pasadena as a hub of scientific and technical innovation.
As the executive producer of the 1993 film “Times Have Changed,” Ariel’s dream of a camera that could “fly” in order to showcase Pasadena’s filming properties pre-dated drone photography. She was awarded a commemorative L.A. Emmy from the TV Academy for Creative, Technical Crafts after her cinematographer, innovator Gordon Brown achieved this feat with a 35mm film camera.

Currently, Ariel loves helping property owners who want to rent, buy or sell these unique film location properties. And helping location scouts and filmmakers find the perfect location for their next project remains her perennially favorite activity. Presently, Ariel is a licensed real estate agent (DRE #: 02132076) with eXp Realty, an international and virtually networked brokerage. She is a certified luxury homes specialist (LHC) by the National Association of Realtors. And is a member of the National Association of Realtors and the Pasadena-Foothill Realtors.
